Someone is determined to make a point because this is about the fourth time the T in "Town Centre" on the sign at the Alice Springs entrance to Coober Pedy has been painted over making "Clown Centre".
The first time would be called vandalism with, at the least, a sense of humour, probably done by a visitor. The second time you'd think, no, maybe a local just trying to test out the patience of the authorities. The third time, wow! someone's got a bee in their bonnet. And the fourth time, well, where there's smoke there's a fire. Maybe it's time the 'someone' did something more specific and went public with a grievance.
