"The Coober Pedy Football Club has recently been accepted into the Woomera and Districts Football League after a ten-year absence. The club is made up of 90% Indigenous players and encourages harmony between cultures whilst promoting a drug and alcohol free lifestyle. The club travels to Roxby Downs most weekends which is a round trip of over 900km, just to play. This season saw the club become competitive within the league, winning some games and narrowly missing out on being part of the finals. They also boosted their profile through the media and raised sponsorship for the much needed club bus to transport the team each weekend. The local police actively supported the club thus fostering a better understanding between police and youth and helping to reduce the crime rate within the town."
Go the Coober Pedy Saints!"
REX has upgraded all its services to/from Coober Pedy to SAAB aircraft.
