EDITORIAL

'Same-sex Marriage' Bill falls short.

The Australian Parliament today rejected the Bill proposing to make 'same-sex marriage' legal.
Once again, attempts to twist the meaning of words in common usage have proved to be ineffective.
People have too much common sense to be fooled.
Bill Shorten's letter seeking the support of voters to end 'discrimination' against people who wnat to
'marry' someone of the same sex did not fool enough people.
Come on, Mr Shorten, we have been given a brain to use to do exactly that - to discriminate, to separate
the things we believe are right from the things which we believe are wrong.
You must think we are all dumb if you try to convince us that to discriminate is wrong.
And to use the expression, "whatever your religion" as a condition of irrelevance to making
'same-sex marriage' legal is another insult to the intelligence of voters.
What, are we all supposed to agree with some bloke who reckons we should all throw away our religios
beliefs simply because he says it is now the right time to do so?
Get real Mr Shorten!
